Mercedes-Benz unveiled its first electric G-Wagon—the G 580 with EQ Technology—at a special event in the city on Saturday. This milestone launch by Rancon Motors highlights Bangladesh's shift toward sustainable luxury mobility.

Blending the legendary G-Class off-road prowess with zero-emission electric power, it sets fresh standards in performance, luxury, and sustainability. The model retains the iconic boxy design and unbeatable trail capabilities as a fully electric SUV.

Under the hood, a quad-motor all-wheel-drive system—one motor per wheel—delivers a thrilling 587 PS and 1,164 Nm of torque. Exclusive G-Mode features like G-Turn, G-Steering, and G-Rover make it a game-changer for off-roading enthusiasts.

The event kicked off with a speech by Imran Zaman, Divisional Director of Mercedes-Benz, joined by Aurthohin Band's Bassbaba Sumon and Bangladesh's veteran motor racer Avik Anwar at the launch ceremony.
