On Thursday, Executive Motors Ltd., the sole authorized sales and service center of BMW vehicles in Bangladesh. held a press conference to announce the launch of BMW X3 in Bangladesh at the Executive Motors showroom at Tejgaon. Executive Motors’s operations Director Dewan Muhammad Sajid Afzal and After Sales Director Md Bazlul Karim were present at the event along with other top BMW officials.
BMW offers the third-generation X3 with either a four- or six-cylinder engine whereas all-wheel drive or xDrive in BMW parlance is now standard and a diesel engine option unavailable. Four-cylinder 2018 X3s christened xDrive30i boasts a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, while six-cylinder models are equipped with the M40i nomenclature and a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six.

Both the engines are boasts more power and torque than the engines of older models. xDrive30i models come up with 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque while M40i’s output is 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters; the M40i adds a launch-control function.
These models come up with fresh styling too that gives the compact crossover a sportier look. Because of a 2.2 inches longer wheelbase, the new X3 features a long hood, a curvy roofline and two inches longer than the earlier versions. Front headlights are pushed to the edges of the front fenders and BMW’s trademark kidney grille now includes shutters that help reduce aerodynamic drag. Big taillights also pushed to the new fenders to emphasize the model’s width. BMW promises “standout driving qualities on any terrain with unrestricted everyday usability” with BMW X3, a third generation compact crossover SUV.
